The 3M™ Littmann® Lightweight II S.E. stethoscope is an ideal entry-level model with an adjustable membrane and double-sided chestpiece. The Stethoscope provides reliable acoustic performance in blood pressure reading and small physical examinations in adult patients. Weighing just 118 grams, it is the lightest of all Littmann® adult stethoscopes. Thanks to the adjustable membrane technology (an invention of 3M™), clinicians can hear different sound frequencies by simply adjusting the pressure on the chestpiece. A slight pressure on the chestpiece will make you hear low frequency sounds; a little more pressure will make the high frequency sounds. The anti-fouling membrane and socket provide comfort for the patient. Robust hoses retain their shape and flexibility even when stored compactly. The tension of the headset can be easily adjusted to any head size and user requirements by squeezing or pulling the earplugs apart. Click-in ear buds with a soft seal feel comfortable in the ear and offer excellent acoustic sealing. The earplugs snap securely to the ends of the tubes and, for safety, cannot be removed easily. Next generation tubes contain no natural rubber (latex) and no phthalate plasticizers. The stethoscope comes with large earplugs with soft seal and instructions, has a double-sided chestpiece providing versatility of both an adjustable membrane and an open chalice, has a tear-forming chestpiece for easier placement under blood pressure cuffs and around bandages.
