SILVERIN® STICKS are silver nitrate sticks made of wood or plastic with a mixture of silver nitrate and potassium nitrate on the tip. The silver nitrate sticks are ready for use after adding moisture. SILVERIN® STICKS enable simple, precise treatment, so that the effect is limited to precisely defined areas.

SILVERIN® is used for chemical cauterisation in cases of superficial bleeding, nosebleeds, for the treatment of warts, mucosal lesions in the mouth and genitals, and in cases of excessive wound granulation (wild flesh). Other
areas of application include aphthae in stomatitis, removal of umbilical cord remnants and use in wound care, e.g. for stoma care.

The removal of warts is a common area of application and can also be performed by non-professionals. The application is quick, easy and usually completely painless.

Treatment of bleeding, wounds, excessive wound granulation, aphthous stomatitis and umbilical cord remnants should only be performed by doctors and specialised personnel.

Effect of silver nitrate sticks
Silver nitrate has an astringent and scab-forming effect, while potassium nitrate serves to weaken the effect of silver nitrate. Silver nitrate etching sticks can be used on the spot, so that the effect is limited to the desired area.
