RECUPEL INCL.
BEBAT INCL.
A unique feature of the Omron BF511 is its ability to measure body fat percentage in children aged six and above. Body fat percentage is determined using bioelectrical impedance, whereby a weak electrical current is sent through the entire body using the four-point method.
Measurements can be taken using either the memory mode or the guest mode. In addition to weight, body fat percentage, muscle percentage and BMI, the basal metabolic rate (in kcal) is also shown on the clear display. The visceral fat level and a classification of the measured values are also displayed.

Body fat
The Omron BF511 measures body fat percentage in relation to height and weight, using eight measurement points. Excess body fat can lead to serious health problems such as high cholesterol, cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Body fat accumulates mainly around the abdomen, upper arms, hips and thighs.
Visceral fat (fat around the organs)
This is the most dangerous type of fat: the fat that accumulates around the organs. Visceral fat is not always visible; even people of a healthy weight can be affected by it. People with a high percentage of this fat often have a large stomach capacity. People of a healthy weight who nevertheless have a high percentage of visceral fat usually suffer from metabolic issues.
BMI
BMI is an index of weight in relation to height.
