More info
Silicone gel bound to a softly pliable polyamide net.
Due to the open structure of the polyamide net, it is permeable to wound exudate, which is absorbed by a top absorbent dressing.
Due to its horizontal impermeability, on the other hand, no maceration occurs.
Since the silicone gel does not absorb at all, a moist wound environment is maintained.
It does not stick to the wound, only adheres to dry, healthy skin.
As long as a wound is bloody, the Mepitel should be covered with moist compresses.
Can remain on the wound for 3 to 5 days.
No painful dressing changes.
