Accu-Chek Aviva Test strips are used for the quantitative determination of blood glucose using the Accu-Chek Aviva blood glucose meter. The test strips are suitable for use with the Accu-Chek Aviva blood glucose monitor. This system has been developed for the determination of glucose in fresh blood by people with diabetes or by medical professionals. Patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis should consult their physician before performing the test, as dialysis may lead to incorrect results. Blood sugar levels are given in mg/dl.
Use only with the Meters Accu-Chek Aviva and Accu-Chek Aviva Nano.
Use of Accu-Chek Aviva:
1. The blood glucose meter, a test strip, the code chip, a lancing device and a lancet are required to perform the test.
2. Coding the meter: when a new vial of test strips is inserted, the code chip must be replaced by the code chip, which comes with the new packaging. Make sure the meter is switched off. Turn the meter over, remove and discard the old code chip, place the new code chip so that the code number is facing away from you and then insert the code chip into the code chip slot. Hold the code chip in the meter until you have opened a new package of test strips.
3. Prepare the lancing pin.
4. Wash your hands with warm water and soap. Rinse and dry your hands thoroughly. Warning: This system is not intended for use in the diagnosis of diabetes mellitus or for testing samples of neonatal cord blood.
